Coffee and a Card, Stampin’ Up! Style

Carols of Christmas

Hi Stampers

From June through to the end of September, I have set aside the last Wednesday of the Month to host a Coffee and a Card at Coffee Culture Cafe on Bramalea Road in Brampton.

I cannot tell you how much fun these are and how much I enjoy hosting them.    Yes the Stampers are coming out to make a card.   But more importantly they are coming out…… to socialize, meet other Stampers, have a coffee / tea, support me and support the Coffee Shop.     My goals isn’t to make money on these ventures ( I am taking time off my real job to do this!), but to bring it out into the community.     Each time we have an event, someone (not with our group), will provide positive feedback.   This month a lady getting coffee stopped me to enquire what we were doing.    It warmed my heart when she said it was so nice to see women so HAPPY.   In that context alone, it seems odd… women ARE happy, but the group last week, was chatting, laughing with each other (and most are not even familiar with each other), but they were having a good time.      The Manager came in at one point and shook my hand.    He was beaming that we were there.    Some customers arrived early and were having breakfast when I walked in…… the event is working!     I appreciate all of you that come out and support this little venture.

Now the funny part this month was when the Brampton Fire Department rolled up to the front of the Coffee Shop.    Oh No… we didn’t question why was the firetruck there… we were just happy that the Firemen were coming in.     They were coming in for coffee, but when they walked in and saw 14 women staring at them, they even asked what on earth was going on!.    You know I had to ask them for a picture with the group… and they obliged.      Of course I took credit for the excitement and told the Stampers I arranged the visit just for them (NOT!).

When I started these last year, I was worried that I would only get a few people to come out.   But it has grown and that makes me happy.    I hope that everyone is enjoying them as much as I am.    I go back to work after the event and my Boss comments on how I am beaming and so excited.    Just goes to tell you that I Love What I Do with Stampin’ Up!

This month we made a card using the new Carols of Christmas Bundle that will be released on August 1st.   This is an early release from the Holiday Catalogue that goes live to Customers on September 1st.

The back of the card uses a sentiment from the Star of Light stamp set.
