Hi Stampers

Woohoo…. PBS has a Downtown Abbey Marathon going on this weekend.   A perfect excuse (like who needs one) to work in the studio.     Saturday was the first Club Day in September.     One of the cards the Clubs are making this month is a Wedding card using the Shaker Shapes Framelits.     We got talking about various options for the Card and alternatives.     As soon as the group left, I had to “play”.     I love cards that are simple, elegant and blinged up.     This is the reworked Club Card and I love it.   This is simple elegance.     Here it is shown with the Gold Glimmer paper.     You could also use Silver or Dazzling Diamond Glimmer behind the layers….. think of Silver Anniversary or Gold Anniversary cards…. as well as a Wedding card.

Wedding, Stampin' Up!

Of course I also had to make one using the Silver Glimmer paper.

The Scoop

  • Blushing Bride card stock
  • Whisper White card stock
  • Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper
  • Gold or Silver Glimmer paper
  • Memento Black ink
  • Shaker Shapes Framelits dies (New)
  • Floral Phrases stamp set
  • Snail Adhesive
  • Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  • Tape

Tip

Using the largest tree/cake framelit (the one without the detail), die cut on Glimmer Paper of choice.   You will end up with four rectangle shapes in the different sizes.    Using Scotch Tape, tape each of them behind the corresponding  size from the detailed die that you cut out for the front of the card.   That will give you the Glimmer behind each layer and not use more glimmer paper than required.
