Hi Stampers

For those of you in Ontario do you remember White Rose Nurseries?     I am not sure how long ago they went out of business, but I had purchased a lot of ribbon, trim, craft supplies when they were closing out.    I knew that I would find a use for that tube of pearl trim that I bought years and years and years ago.     Oh… and I still have lots of trim left for future projects.

Card Recipe:

  • Crumb Cake (base)
  • Brushed Gold Card Stock
  • Very Vanilla Card Stock
  • Embossing Folder (retired)
  • Love & Laughter Stamp Set (congratulations)
  • VersaMark
  • Gold Embossing Powder
  • Crystal Effects
  • String of pearls

This is a very simple card.   The trick / tip to get the string of pearls to stay on the card (they are not flat back)….. Draw a very thin bead of Crystal Effects along the edge of the Brushed Gold card stock.    Then lay the pearls on top.    You will need to hold the pearls down a bit while they dry.     Once they set slightly, you can put a book on top to hold the pressure on the string of pearls.

And you know my motto….. less is more.     Make it a very thin bead of Crystal Effects.   You can always go back and add a bit more.    Make sure  the two ends are secure… if the pearls are going to come off… it will be on the edges first.
