Stampin' Up! Hostess Set

Hi Stampers

It is official.   I am without a laptop 🙁    The Apple store kept it this time to run more diagnostics.    I am obviously hoping for the less expensive  … “it could be the flex cable” (at $13.00)…. compared to the more expensive “could be the logic board” (which is estimated to be $500+).     It could take 3-5 days to find out.      The good news… when I was at the mall I found a super cute pair of shoes.

Today’s card uses the Stampin’ Up! Hostess set “Pun Intended”.    And yes.. it is very punny!   Before I start, I have an OMG DUH MOMENT CONFESSION.   See the light bulb in the picture below from the actual stamp set.    All along I was thinking it was like a street lantern on a pole.   Even colouring the heart upside down… nope didn’t clue in.    The squiggly on top of the inside bulb, thought it was just the flames of the light… nope didn’t clue in.    I have even made a few cards… nope … didn’t clue in.

Then I went to post the card I had made Sunday and my Light Bulb moment went off.   It wasn’t a lantern, it was a hanging light.   The Heart wasn’t upside down and that squiggly is actually the word Love!   DUH!       Here is a closeup of the card I originally made.

Obviously I had to redo the card and this is what it is suppose to look like.

Now that I have fixed the card….. here is some info on how to put it together.  That perfect circle of light behind the bulb was created by cutting a circle in a spare piece of card stock and placing the cut out circle over the bulb (covering the rest of the card).    Then I took some Daffodil Delight re-inker and rubbing alcohol in a Spritzer and spritzed the circle area.   The rest of the card was covered so I got a perfect circle of light behind the bulb.    I stamped the bulb a second time and fussy cut it out to pop it up over the original stamped image.
