Hello Stampers

I think I have found a way to control the E-Mail SPAM on my blog.    Unfortunately it means adding one of those “annoying” code boxes known as “CAPTCHA”…. you know the ones where you have to decipher the code.     It seems to have worked (so far).    I am by no means an expert on Blog design / coding  etc so it is all trial and error.     To the point this morning that my Blog was totally blank when you tried to open it and I couldn’t log in to it to fix what I had done.    Thankfully the company who I host my website through (Hostgator) came to the rescue.       I know you are thinking it is a lot of trouble to go through to stop SPAM e-mail sign-ups… but besides the fact that it is annoying, fills my contact list with a lot of nonsense (and it really is)….. it drives up the number of people on my mailing list – which then drives up the monthly cost for the subscription.   Keep your fingers crossed that I was able to fix the problem.    Once that is fixed, I will figure out the SPAM in the Comments section and turn that back on.

Now to some Stamping projects.    In between trying to fix the blog and life in general, I have been working on the New Catalogue Open House, some samples and the upcoming Saturday Morning Stampers Club.      I have been posting pictures of the projects over on my Facebook Page – click HERE and be sure to LIKE my page.

Today’s card is using the stamp set – Love & Laughter – and it is on the Retirement List.     Clear mount is sold out… all that is left is the Wood Mount.      This is a 5 x 5 card.    The cake is embossed in silver.    There is a vellum overlay on the top.   On the vellum I stamped the flowers for the top of the cake and the word “Congratulations”.    These were also embossed in silver.     And… see those pretty purple gems… they are genuine Swarovski Hot Fix Crystals.      The top layer needed a bit more bling, so I cut strips of silver glimmer paper to put between each layer of the cake.

Isn’t this purdy?
