Hi Stampers

Oh so tired, but VERY inspired. Two days spent doing what I love, catching up with old friends, meeting new friends, putting names and faces together, learning some new techniques, ideas and being inspired by all the creativity in the room….. what a wonderful two days with an amazing group of people and company – Stampin’ Up!.

I am so happy that I volunteered for the event – it was a great way to mix and mingle and meet others I may otherwise not have had an opportunity to spend time with.

OK… enough of the gushing … right. You came here to see some projects we made, cards that were swapped, what we did, etc.  If you are here to get the instructions for my swap, I will work on it today and post it within a few days.

I attended the first of the three sessions on Saturday afternoon – which was perfect.   I was able to go through the process / projects before it was my time to volunteer at 8:00 pm.

All Conference Attendees received the Stamp Set – Wintertime. Excellent since the projects that we are making uses this set.

Wintertime

We went through a variety of stations making pieces of the project.   Each station was different, stamping, punching, die cutting/embossing, Gift Box Punch Board (want it!), etc.   When we finished the rotation we had all the pieces of the project made and it was time to assemble.

A cute box with 3 x 3 notecards.

One of the stations we went to was all about Stampin’ Up!. The Friday event was open to Non Demonstrators who were interested in learning more about Stampin’ Up!. It was good for even us “seasoned” demonstrators to attend this station to remind us what Stampin’ Up! is all about. This is where we picked up our Treat Bags.  It was a pleasure to volunteer to make some of the bags. There was a lot of work that went in to putting on this event – and it was all done and supported by the Canadian Stampin’ Up! office and with the help of volunteers all across Canada. I was happy to help out and support the effort.

There was a Card Contest / Display Board . Demonstrators voted on their favourite card and the winner received a Shopping Spree . Once the event was over all cards were donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton .   Of course Demonstrators were encouraged to bring in cards to leave for the House as well. There were many cards to vote on.   I don’t know who made the card, – but it was Card #1 (the House card below)…. so clean.   It was my fav as well. And check out those trees below…. aren’t they adorable center pieces.

I had dinner with Jamilla – we first met 7 years ago and roomed together.   It was the first convention for both of us back then. She has taken off with her business and has earned Cruise and the Get Away vacation. Her biggest tip – consistency.

I brought swaps with me to finish off. By the time I finished my shift it was 10:30 (ish). I headed back to my room (it was in the new tower and was so nice), put on my pi’s, turned on the TV, made a coffee and started working.  I didn’t want to disturb the rooms beside me with the Heat Gun, so took the White Embossing Powder, cards, Versamark and Heat Gun into the bathroom. 2:30 am – I ended up in bed – very tired.
