IMO, Sympathy cards are the most difficult to do. I like to have a stash of them at work and this one is very quick to do. I end up putting the card front into the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder twice. Only part way on both ends – leaving the middle unembossed. The unembossed section is perfect for a Sympathy sentiment. It is done in Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip. Just to give it a big of elegance I put a ribbon down the one side. Sometimes you just need a simple Sympathy card and this one fits the bill.
Well ladies – I attempted to play with my new Copics today. It definitely is going to take some practice. I will be honest when I say I got a wee bit frustrated. I am somewhat impatient and was looking for instant perfection. Hopefully I will get use to them before the next “must have” comes around. I am going to do some more research on how to use them. I bought the right Ink (so it doesn’t bleed) and some paper recommded on someone’s site. It was the colouring and blending I wasn’t happy with.
And on a final note for the night – Yeh…. Tatiana is gone.

Great card!
Very pretty and simply elegant. Perfect for a sympathy card.
Very nice, but elegant card. On the Copics–I was like you and took a class at my local store, but you might check out this blog: ilikemarkers.blogspot.com. This is the blog by the lady who teaches the Copic certification classes and she has lots of great tips. But also–practice, practice, practice. And oh yeah–I am also VERY glad Tatiana is gone!!!! I about choked on my dinner when I saw they brought her back!
Practice. You can find a lot of expert tips on SCS
