Abstract Impressions Embossing

Once Christmas is over, I love getting into the brighter colours….. even though Spring is a few months away, it is refreshing to work with purples, pinks, yellows. It might also be the fact that as card makers we start making Christmas Cards in July…. that is 6 months of reds and greens…. we are ready for spring!

If you know me and my “style”, I am a ruler girl. I have a really hard time with whimsy, free form style cards. The Abstract Impressions stamp set is really hard for me to work with. Maybe the word “abstract” intimidates me 🙂

This was one of the “experiment” cards I spoke of in my last Blog Post. I was playing with the Big Shot Embossing Mats. I love that you can use your dies to create embossed images. Isn’t that awesome. Getting more value out of our dies. If you are curious as to what the cut image should look like, my next blog post will have a card using the die how it was intended….. yeh… I am enticing you to come back.
