Hi Stampers
It was a success! Thursday was my first Coffee and a Card event at a local coffee shop. Sometimes we have to venture out and try something different. I am very happy with the outcome. I had to ask myself the questions … what is my goal, what do I want to achieve by doing this etc.? Getting together with Stampers and sharing the passion is always at the top of my list, but in this case it was also to bring stamping out in to the community and connecting women together while stamping. For me, the amazing part was that most of the women did not know each other, and a couple came from another town. However by the end of the session it turns out they all knew someone in common, either through Church, Guiding or other organizations.
There was a gentleman sitting at the next table having a coffee. He caught my eye at the end of the session and I had a chat with him. He was intrigued by the activity and the enthusiasm. The coffee shop is in a new complex and he loved the buzz that we were creating in the coffee shop / area. It was a nice feeling to get the feedback from a total stranger. He asked I was going to do it weekly…. I wish. 🙂
A huge Thank You to Coffee Culture Cafe and Eatery. The group loved the cafe, environment and of course the coffee. Now to schedule the next session.
Thanks for stopping by,

I am wondering how you went about picking the venue and if you were charged to have it there? How did you “advertise” the event and get sign ups? I have been a demo for many years and am just now thinking of doing this type of thing. Thanks so much!
