When the Stampin Up! Spring/Summer 2009 catalogue came out – I had (note I said HAD and not WANT) to buy the Movers and Shapers Die. In case you didn’t know, the difference between had and want is all part of the addiction – and I admit I am addicted to paper, ribbon, stamps – all of it.
Anyhow… I finally started to play with the die. It is a Big Die and cuts out a standard sized card and the label punch all in one. The neat thing is part of the die is magnetized and you can place the label punch wherever you want on the plate, it can also be rotated. Now… if Stampin Up! is reading this…. they should come out with interchangeable pieces to go on the magnet – that way you can punch out different shapes, Christmas Tree, Stocking, Cowboy Hat – heck even words like Noel. Ohhhh… I just thought about this as I was typing – what a brilliant idea. (Note: Yes I sent an e-mail off to Stampin Up with this suggestion – sometimes I come up with really good ideas. It balances out when I come up with really bad ideas).
A few weeks back there was a large jackpot lottery so my boss and I bought tickets. For the first time ever, we had 4 numbers and won $217.00. (You needed 6 numbers plus the bonus to get $25M.) You would have thought it was big money. I was so excited. Well last weekend there was another big jackpot lottery so we decided to buy more tickets. Wheeee, we had another 4 numbers and won $207.00. Guess who is going to buy more stamping supplies…. yep it is all part of the addiction.
Have a good one.

Congrats on the winnings! Hey that’s a bundle of stamps right there 🙂
What a beautiful card. I love this set.
How pretty is that to make a window with the die, and then the dots around the window, that is fabulous. A win for new stamping supplies, now how can you beat that? AND you’re stimulating the economy, you good girl! Have fun with it.
Hi Elizabeth! I so identify with your addiction… except I am not a demo so I spend even more! LOL! I do love this die… my lss has one with just little inchi squares that you can position anywhere and she cut me a bunch… so fun… but I have the cuttlebug and I don’t think these work in it, do they? Anyhoo…. I sure do love your springy card and you have to admit, having that shaped cut out is a real eye catcher!!! As for your wins…. I can’t identify there… I would never win so I just spend my money direct… LOL! But I might want to hang out with you for a while and see if it rubs off!!! Way to go!!!
Congrats on winning! I just love your card. It makes one long for spring.
Very pretty card. I really like the window in the front – nicely done! Congrats on the money – its always nice to be able to get more stamps and not feel guilty about it!
I love this card! I am trying to wait a little before I get that new die, but after seeing this and all the other cute things people are doing with it I may have to go ahead and get it!!
Yes, I am addicted too (hangs head in shame…….) but if I kept winning money, I think I would have to take it as a sign that the Universe wanted me to keep on stamping, and that my addiction was a good thing not a bad thing.
……and this is the pink and brown Easter card, right? I have to say, I think it works!
just beautiful. its a wonderful card.
Congratulations on your winnings…and your “gettings”… 🙂 This card is just beautiful, and I didn’t know you could rearrange the placement of the label punch (I don’t have it, but good to know!) Surfin’ by with an Ocean’s Hi…
Congrats!I love the card.
Sounds like a great idea to me! Congrats on your winnings, time to go sopping for more stamps.
OMW Congrats!!! Can I send you $5?! (Ha Ha) Seriously though, guild free rubbah money! Does it get any better?
This card is just beautiful! I love your coloring on this image!
