Happy Thursday everyone.
What a busy week. I have been officially registered for SU’s convention for a few weeks, but this week, the block of hotels were released, the SU Tracks opened up, registration for the Riverton tours opened up and last but not least, the SCS dinner registration opened up. Great news on all fronts – I was able to register for everything and got the Tracks and Times I was hoping for. I was co-ordinating my times with some of my traveling companions. Some of the times are off – but at least my Roomie and I are on the same schedule. Now I have to start working on my SWAP designs. The block of hotels sold out in an hour. Rumour has it they are planning for 7500 crazed stampers. WOW!
I officially had my tooth removed on Monday. I was kind of sad – $5,400, 26 months in braces and not even a year out of braces and I had to have a tooth removed. It will be about 3 months before I can get the implant. I just can’t smile real big for a while.
I hope to have word back from the invitation samples I did last weekend. If I don’t hear about them by tomorrow – I will be able to get caught up on some of my other card requests this weekend. Between Mother’s Day cards and special orders, I haven’t done much of anything else.
Lastly- Mother’s Day is on Sunday. I wasn’t sure what to do for the local Nursing Home that I adopted – so I stopped at the Florists and ordered 120 individual carnations with some baby’s breath. To cut the cost a bit, they will provide me with the water viles and I will assemble the flowers. I am making some scallop punch tags with a Mother’s Day message on each of them. I will assemble everything on Saturday and drop them off at the Nursing Home Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning.
That is me for now. Hopefully I will get a chance to post some cards this weekend.
