Hello Stampers.
Welcome to the SUO Demos / Designers Showcase Blog Hop. We are here to celebrate the launch of the 2017 Holiday Catalog. And what an awesome catalog it is. Grab a cup of tea, put your feet up and follow along on the Blog Hop. Our goal is to inspire you.
My project uses the new stamp set “Hearts Come Home” with the co-ordinating “Hometown Greetings Edgelits” dies…. and yes this can be purchased as a bundle. The complete list of product used is at the bottom of this post.
This is an Envelope Card. The outside is pretty basic with a belly band. The magic is on the inside of the card. This card folds to 6″ x 4″.
Take off the belly band to reveal a city scene, complete with trees, houses, snowflakes, and even Santa flying through the night sky and tucked behind the curtain.
But here is the magic. Just under the deer is a battery. Press on the battery to light up the card. Ohhh so pretty and welcoming.
I turned out the lights for this picture so you can see how the lights shine bright behind the houses.
Some close-up pictures.
I hope you are inspired.

Do you have instructions for this?
Hi Debra. Unfortunately I don’t have instructions (boy that was 5 years ago). But I can tell you that I used Chibitronics. You can look them up and they will give you ideas on what you need to use.
Oh my gosh how amazing is your card! Those lights just making even more amazing!
Wow. An amazing project. Thank you for sharing
Wow! Stunning card! Love the inside – so magical with the LED lights truly brings the scene to life. 🙂
You have most certainly wowed me!
Thanks Kate.
This is beautiful! Great use of the Merry Music DSP & Glimmer paper xx
You can’t go wrong with Glimmer paper 🙂
So cool! I need to try the LED lights!
Thanks Liz… and thank you for organizing the Hop. I promise next time I will know how to link 🙂
The simple cardfront hides a stunningly complex inside! Beautiful!
Thanks Tanya. I don’t want to add anymore thickness to the card so tend to keep the outside simple.
OMGoodness. Worth the wait! What a beautiful card with or without the lights. Wish I could see it in person. Looks stunning! Thanks for sharing your talents and joining in the hop!
Thanks Penny. It was fun spending the time creating for the Hop.
That’s gorgeous! I’ve been wanting to give the LED lights a try, haven’t braved it yet. Thanks for the inspiration!
I tapped into my inner geek to figure out the copper tape / LED lights. 🙂
