Here Comes Peter Cottontail..

By | March 25, 2009

Is everyone getting ready for Easter? When I was in New York at the beginning of the month I found a great stamp store in Manhattan. It is probably the only dedicated stamp store in NYC. It is called The Ink Pad – www.theinkpadnyc.com

It is a tiny shop but I couldn’t believe how many stamps they had on the shelves (ceiling to floor/wall to wall – lots of stamps!) Anyhow… I found an Easter stamp that I thought would be fun to colour. I try not to buy too many non Stampin Up stamps but sometimes I do stray. This one is made by Outlines Rubber Stamp Company. I had not heard of them before – this is their site: www.outlinesrubberstamp.com. I popped up his tail and the butterfly and used the Copics to colour it. I also used the Heat and Stick powder and then glittered his tail.

and from the side.

You know it is a good day when you go to the mailbox and there are no bills. Today was a very good day – no bills and a double treat – I received the invitation for my great-nephews Baptism -this is too funny because I made the cards and sent them to my niece – and she sent mine back to me in the mail. But the second treat – I received a lovely card from one of the Ocean’s Eleven ladies. Thank you very much Laura (her site is HERE) for your card and note. Beautiful job on the card. Being a wee bit Irish, I love how your note paper has shamrocks on it. I can tell you have more than a wee bit of Irish in you.

Off to visit the Ocean’s Eleven ladies. I haven’t been keeping up to date with the happenings and need to see if there is a challenge this week.

Have a good one.

Thanks for stopping by,

What a great stamp! I don’t have any stamps from Outlines but I can see why you bought this one – its just perfect for Easter or spring even in general. I really like the colors of paper you used and the popped up tail is so cute! And I’m glad you liked your card – there’s nothing better than getting fun mail!

I’m like you…I don’t stray too often, but sometimes it’s fun. This bunny is so cute, I love his little tail and how you made it pop! And the orange is such a fun color!

I have heard of that company, what a cute stamp, I would have purchased it as well. I think you’re allowed to stray once in a while. I’m the guilty one for not asking for the next challenger yet on Ocean’s 11, I was out of town. But cute card! Very cute!
