Hi Stampers
I can’t believe I am going to say this… but these place cards would be perfect for Thanksgiving Dinner :). Think of canning season, fall colours, leaves instead of flowers, you get the picture. These are delicate (jar stands 3″ tall – without the flowers).
Using the Thoughtful Banners and Duet Banner Punch you can punch a blank banner out to write the person’s name on it. These are too cute.
The Scoop
- Jar of Love stamp set
- Everyday Jars Framelits
- Thoughtful Banners stamp set
- Duet Banners punch
- Smoky Slate card stock
- Whisper White card stock
- Pear Pizzazz card stock
- Memento Black ink
- Flirty Flamingo ink
- Watermelon Wonder ink (I love this colour!)
- Linen Thread
- Dimensionals
- Multipurpose Liquid Glue
The Deets
- Stamp and cut two of the largest jars
- Stamp and cut stems and flowers as needed (see tip below)
- Cut a piece of Smoky Slate card stock 1″ x 1 1/2″. Score at 1/2 inch so you have a piece 1/2″ x 1 1/2″
- This will become a hinge to adhere the two jars together.
- Before attaching the hinge, glue (or tape) two stems to the back of one of the jars. Now glue the hinge on (over the stems). Now glue the other jar onto the other side of the hinge.
- Decorate the stems as you want.
- **TIP** Because the bottom of the jar isn’t flat it is going to rock a bit. You don’t want the flowers to be too lopsided. If you put the bow and big blooms all on one side, the place card is going to lean to the side too much. Balance out the flowers so it doesn’t lean to one side.
