Hi stampers
The last part of the tree fell down last night… off my roof. Luckily it didn’t go through either window on the way down. Now that it is off my roof… insurance won’t pay to have it removed. That is up to me 🙂 I have a call in to an arborist…. I am one of thousands… I am sure. They will come out to quote removal of the tree… not much choice at this point.
Good news… the insurance company will cover any damage to the roof and fence. They just need to get to the backyard and roof once the tree is gone and the ice is off the roof. I had to go out today and when I got home one of my neighbours got out his chainsaw and cleared a path for me to get into the yard. I have amazing neighbours. I took a drive around our street and was shocked…. there isn’t a tree left in front of any house. 20+ year old trees….. gone. I loved the neighbourhood for the amount of character and trees it had . I am not sure what it will look like come the spring.
But… I am looking at the good news…. with the trees gone… hopefully the racoons and squirrels will leave too 🙂 I will have loads of sunshine in my yard next summer…. And…. I have power. Many don’t.
Have a great Christmas everyone.
Branches that fell off the roof…. missed the second floor window and living room window (lucky)
Part of tree that fell between houses…. before my neighbour cleaned it up.
Bye Bye tree. There is going to be so much sunshine in my yard next year.
