Rooted in Nature

Hi Stampers

Thanks for checking in today.     The last Club Card for June uses the Rooted in Nature stamp set and co-0rdinating thinlits.   You are going to be seeing a lot of projects made with this set…. it is gorgeous and so versatile.    It could be one of my favs in the new catalogue.

I can’t take credit for this card.   This was created by Carolina Evans.   She used a different colour pallet (and I loved it), but some of the colours were retiring.     I love the Brown and Blue tones together.    The base is Soft Suede, the first layer is Pool Party and the top layer is Whisper White.     There is a pop of Pear Pizzaz.    The stamping is done in Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzaz and Coastal Cabana.     I realized when I went to make the sample card that I didn’t have a Pool Party re-inker (and my pad needed re inking) so used Coastal Cabana.   I think it worked perfectly.

I am not sure what the style of card this is called, but I am going to call it a front Z fold.   Basically it is a regular card, but the front is folded in half backwards and you adhere half of the front card stock to the folded piece.
