Treasures of Tuscany

By | September 26, 2009

Part of the reason for being neglegent in blogging is because I was getting ready for my Treasures of Tuscany trip. I MADE IT.

After flying Toronto to Rome and then catching a connecting flight to Florence than a 45 minute drive south to the Chianti Region – we are tucked away into our Villa for the first part of our Journey. What an amazing place. I am posting a couple of pictures of the Villa. We had an amazing meal this evening and it is 9:30 pm and I am about to go to bed. We have a full day tomorrow – hitting San Gimignano in the morning (with a wine tour) then lunch, a tour of Siena and then dinner in Siena.

We arrived at the Villa around 1:15 – by the time we unpacked and got settled in a group of us went out the pool and “sampled” some wine. The clouds started to come in around 4:30. Luckily the weather for the next 10 days is sunny and high 70s.

The pool (and view) at the Villa

I know.. a picture of a bathroom – but it is so adoreable. I couldn’t resist.

My room has an enclosed patio off the sliding glass doors.

To me this is Italy – Vespa’s lined up outside the Villa.

Off to bed.
