I may have been MIA but in reality I was in Croatia. What an awesome trip. I didn’t know much about the country (and I don’t watch Game of Thrones) but after some research and hearing some amazing things about the country I decided to add it to my “Women’s Travel Network” bucket list. Check them out.. they have some great trips for women…. single, widowed, divorced, hubbies don’t want to travel…. and they are small groups.
Most of us flew from Toronto to Munich then on to Zagreb. One of the things I enjoy about these trips are the repeat travellers that I have met over the years. There were 3 others on the trip that I have traveled with before so there is that sense of familiarity. Two I have traveled to the South of France with, and one was on the South of France trip and last year we were roomies in Morocco. We were roomies again for the Croatia trip.
We arrived on Wednesday October 4th and were transported to the Doubletree by Hilton in Zagreb for a few nights. After checking in, showering and changing, we headed to the lobby bar for a drink before heading off to dinner.
