Hello Stampers
Welcome to this month’s Blog Hop.
The theme for July is “Travel”. If you have come here from Sue’s Blog… welcome. I am sure you will find a lot of travel inspiration as you go through the Hop.
Grab a cup of tea, put your feet up and enjoy your “travels”.
Anyone that knows me….. knows that I love to travel. Being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator has not only given me a creative outlet, but it has also given me the extra income needed to travel. One of these days, I hope to make it on a Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip. In the meantime…. I have found an awesome travel agency that specializes in small group travel for women…. and it originates here in the Toronto area. One of the things I enjoy about travelling with the “Women’s Travel Network”, are the friends I have met. There are a lot of repeat travellers and I now room with someone that is from Alberta. We try to co-ordinate our trips and where possible we will travel and room together. We met on a trip to the South of France, and have since travelled to Morocco and Croatia together. We already have the next trip booked to Sicily in 2019. This year my travels will take me to Orlando to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Stampin’ Up!…. I can’t wait.
I have a couple of scrapbook pages to share with you (I know…. what… no card!) I am very linear in my scrapbook pages (and cards)…. I love the look of free flowing, layered pages…. but my brain doesn’t work like that. Maybe if I have a glass of wine first it might help. Alas… here are my pages.
Left Side…… enjoying the islands of Croatia. I used the Sea of Textures stamp set and co-ordinating die. Check out the Grapefruit Grove fishes for the added pop of colour.
Right Side…… cycling on the Island of Hvar. (Very happy I had an electric bike!). I used the Sea of Textures stamp set again for some grunge on the page. I thought it looked like tire marks. I also used the Bike Ride stamp set for the tires and the die for a little flag banner on the top of one picture. I finished it off with a variety of circles in the same colours that are on the left hand page.
I haven’t scrapbooked in AGES. I think this might be a start. I need to get the pictures off my phone and into a scrapbook before the pictures are lost.
