Word Play, Chalkboard Card

By | February 18, 2013

I admit it…. I have a lot of unused stamp sets.    Until this past weekend “Word Play” was one of them.   I decided to break it out and use it on a couple of the Club cards.

The Chalkboard technique is everywhere.    There are many ways to do the technique… everything from chalks, to the embossing buddy to white craft paint.    It is basically dirtying up the card to look like chalk left on the board.     We stamped the sentiment in Versamark and embossed it in white… then dabbed white craft ink on the card.   Originally I dabbed the chalk then embossed but there were a lot of “stray” bits when I embossed and I didn’t like it.   As mentioned.. there is no right or wrong way, you have to do what works best for you.   I liked the sentiment… it looked like something a teacher would write on the board.
