This year I adopted a “Senior’s” residence. Initially the Co-ordinator at the facility suggested I adopt a “courtyard”. There are 27 residents in the courtyard. I figured that is manageable – I could do something a wee bit more elaborate. When they called back and asked if I would be willing to do something for all the residents – well, I couldn’t say no. I had to scale back my plans quite a bit. In total there are 160 residents at this facility. Since 20 of them have food restrictions, I ended up making 120 Valentine Gift treats. They were filled with Red/White mints. I had them all finished and delivered a week before Valentine’s Day. Usually, I am a last minute kind of crafter. Here is a sample of one of the little gift bags. I am now starting to work on St. Paddy’s Day. Easter is early this year – so I have a double whammy within a few days.
Guess I’d better get busy.
