I guess you could call this a “Rambling”

By | November 15, 2014

Let me go back about 6 weeks. I came home from work and was getting changed when the doorbell rang. When I opened the door there was a lady standing there in a full “chef” outfit holding a stack of frozen pizzas. I mean she had on the huge hat, chef coat, pants – the whole shebang (will spell check pick that up?). She was representing Dellissio Frozen Pizzas. She asked me if I would like a free pizza for dinner – heck yes! Then she said, none of your neighbours are at home, please take three pizzas. Well you would have thought I won the lottery. Yes – I got excited about free pizzas – but they were the full size family ones!

Fast forward 6 weeks to last night. I didn’t know what to have for dinner and remembered I had a pizza in the freezer. It was a meat pizza – pepperoni, bacon, ham. Let me say is was “Dellissio”. However, as I am eating it (no – I didn’t eat the whole thing), I am thinking – “girl…. you know you will be up in the middle of the night”. Sure enough… here I am at 3:00 am. I have been up for about 1/2 hour and have been down to the kitchen twice. Talk about THIRSTY! I drank the rest of the OJ, tried pop, water and milk. I am still THIRSTY! Please tell me I am not the only one that this happens to.

Today I get to “officially” register for the Stampin Up Convention. Hopefully they will let me register a hotel room as well. I have a tentative room at the Marriott in SLC, but not the one close to the convention centre. I am hoping to get into the Marriott across the street from the centre and at the SU rate. I have a tentative roomie – she is wanting to confirm her registration before she books her flight. There are two other local ladies who are also going to convention – one is on the same flight as I already. I can’t wait. I received “some” of my supplies for swaps I have signed up for. I need to finish off some orders and Mother’s Day cards before I start my swaps.

And a final rambling (because yes I am still THIRSTY!)…..

In January I started selling some of my cards at my place of work. It is an office and I keep them on my desk – it is a word of mouth thing. I keep a tally of how many I sell, price, type, etc. The first few months it was and odd card here and there. Really nothing to get excited about. Two months ago I bought a spinner rack for my desk (I have a great boss!) I try to keep some “general” cards as well as the current occasion cards. I am so pleased – each month I have doubled the quantity sold. I am up to 40 cards for the month of April. This doesn’t include the special orders I have received. I made 6 Mother’s Day cards with the Sunshine Design stamp that I picked up on Sunday – within an hour of being at work yesterday, they were all sold. Guess what I am doing this weekend? I have a supply of SU Whisper White and envelopes coming on Friday (keeping fingers crossed it arrives) so I can make more Mother’s Day cards.

OK… it is 3:47 and the alarm goes off at 5:45.

One more trip to the fridge and then I am going to try and go back to sleep.
