It is all about the Bride….

Card - Wedding

Hi Stampers

Thank Heaven for SCS.

Someone at work asked me to make up a card for a Bridal Shower. I did a search on SCS for some ideas. I found a card that used a Sizzix die cut for a dress. Guess who owns that die cut. ME.

Here is my take on the card. There is a vellum overlay on the dress. I Stamped the dress with Background Basics from SU. Turned the vellum over and lightly embossed the flowers so they were raised. I used Pearl Stickles to add a tiny center to the flower. The vellum overlay is held on the dress with some double-sided tape at the waist. I used some ribbon for the sash (to cover the tape). I added some ribbon to the bottom of the dress with tape. I then used some dimensionals to adhere the dress to the card. Love, love, love it. The girl I made it for loved it as well. I now have 3 more people wanting the card. Nothing like word of mouth.

Rumour has it that SU is going to announce the Convention details today. I have a ticket to the convention (Thank You Jennifer), already bought my airfare and have a hotel booked. I am still excited to see the details. I am hoping to get a hotel closer to the convention center once SU opens up the rooms. Toooooooo exciting!

On a personal note – and for those that don’t know me – I HATE NATURE!. I battled a raccoon this winter that decided he liked my attic. I am now waiting for the wildlife removal place to come and remove a bird that has decided to nest in the gutter that is above my front door. I wouldn’t mind so much if they would find someone / someplace else to live. But why my house!
