Ho, Ho, Ho… only 5 more months until Christmas Day 🙂

I got to play with one of my new stamp sets.   This is from the Holiday catalogue that goes live August 1st.     This card is in the catalogue and it uses two of my “must haves” from the catalogue…. the Pretty Print textured embossing folder and the Expressions Thinlits Die “Merry”.   Of course it is also using the stamp set, Joyful Christmas and the foil paper in gold (for the “Merry).

I love the Thinlits die and it comes with 3 words, “Merry”, “Thankful” and “Love”….. but be warned.   You will need to layer a piece of waxed paper or parchment paper between the die and the foil.   It will make your life so much easier when taking the word off the Thinlit.    If you use the glitter paper you won’t need a layer of waxed paper or parchment, the glitter paper comes off easily.

One other “hint” when making this card.   On the Pretty Print, I  used  the Encore Gold Metallic ink and rubbed it over the words.   Great… right?  Nope.    I couldn’t get the image to stick to the gold.   So keep the gold to the outer edges of the square.  That way your dimensionals will hold.
