I promise that tomorrow I will be back to posting all things Stampin’ Up! related but I wanted to share with you the Spa treatment I had today. It was called a Minerva Aqua Polish. I know.. what the heck is that.
Well….. after being sprayed down with a “scotch hose” (a high pressured hose for peeps) you lie on a bed (face up). The therapist rubs your arms / legs with a mixture of oil and walnut paste. Then she uses a brush with warm water and scrubs the paste over your body….exfoliating all the dead skin cells. She then takes the hose and rinses you off (yes, while you are still on the bed). It is a metal table with a plastic cover and towels on it. You then flip over and she repeats the process on the back… BUT…. instead of using the hose to rinse you off, the attendant rolls the bed under a line of showers…. you just lie there while the warm water rinses you off. OMG.. it doesn’t sound appealing but it had to be one of the best sensations. Once the rain shower is done, you get off the bed to dry off and the attendant dries the table and puts on sheets. You then get back on the table and she puts the moisturizing lotion on your front and back. At this point, you just slide off the table because you are so relaxed and ultra soft.
I have to admit it sounds a bit odd (I love to try different treatments when I go to the spa), but it was amazing.
I am back home now, in my little studio getting ready for the Stamp Club. I decided to have a glass of wine ….. hopefully it will get my creative juices flowing before I pass out.
Thank you to everyone for my birthday wishes. It really was a magical birthday – starting with lunch on Saturday with Margaret.
Thanks for stopping by,
