Card - Anniversary

Hi Stampers

Wasn’t yesterday AMAZING!   You could hear the snow melting.   What a difference when the sun is shining and flooding the house with light.   It really gives you that burst of energy.

Yesterday was a Club Day.   One of the cards we made was this VERY EASY Anniversary Card using Stampin’ Up!’s Bird Builder Punch.

Recipe:

Cardstock:    Old Olive, Soft Suede, Naturals White

Ink:  Soft Suede

Stamps:   Teeny Tiny Wishes

Misc:

Bird Builder Punch, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, White Gel Pen, Black Marker, Dimensionals

The Bird Builder Punch is on page #183 of the Main Catalogue – #117191 $22.95.

The card is a 5″ x 5″.    Linen thread tied around the Naturals White (slanted a bit and crossed).   I knotted it on the back then put some scotch tape over the knot to secure.   The Naturals White layer is then mounted onto the card base.  Punch the bird in Soft Suede and shade the edges.    Put them onto the card with dimensionals.    Use the White Gel Pen for the eye.   When dried put a dot of black using the Black Ink marker.     Using Soft Suede Ink and the Happy Anniversary from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp the sentiment onto the card.

Notes:

What I love about the Club… as I was showing the card to the ladies, I realized that we should also add the wing from the Bird Builder Punch to the bird.    So the ladies cards ended up a bit different then what I showed them.   AND I LIKED IT.     Some of the Club members put the sentiment on the bottom right hand corner and some slanted the sentiment on the top to match the angle of the thread.      I found the inspiration for this card on Pinterest… don’t you love that place 🙂   It was so simple, but I loved the clean, natural look of the card.    I hope you are inspired.

This was the original card I made.
