Card - Christmas

Hi Stampers

At the last Saturday Morning Stampers Club we made a Tag / Ornament / Card Candy using the Festive Flurry Framelits Die and Stamp set.       We actually made a Tag, but I explained how the Tag could be an ornament or some Card Candy.

I had left over items cut out and ready to assemble so I thought I would turn them into GORGEOUS Christmas Cards… and I promised the Club Members I would post the instructions for each snowflake layer.

This card is a lot of work, but well worth it for a special Christmas Card for a special someone.

What you need to create the Tag
Festive Flurry Bundle:

Festive Flurry Bundle – Wood #133284 @ $67.95 or

Festive Flurry Bundle – Clear #133285 @ $57.95

Pool Party Cardstock #122924
Whisper White Cardstock #100730
White Vellum Cardstock #101856
White Embossing Powder #109132
Silver Embossing Powder #109131
Heat & Stick Powder #100625
Dazzling Diamonds #102023
Silver 1/8″ Ribbon #132137
Sentiment – I used More Merry Messages #126402
Versamark stamp pad #102283
Big Shot or other type of embossing / die cutting machine.

For the Card you need: (the tag above)
Pool Party Cardstock #122924
Whisper White Cardstock #100730
Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #132175
Smooch Spritz Vanilla Shimmer #118772

Basic Instructions on how to make the tag:

Using the largest snowflake image and Versamark stamp onto Pool Party cardstock, heat emboss in white powder and use the co-ordinating Framelit to cut out the image.
Using the second largest snowflake image and Versamark stamp onto Whisper White cardstock, heat emboss in silver and use the co-ordinating Framelit to cut out the image.
Using the third largest snowflake and Versamark stamp onto the White Vellum Cardstock, heat emboss in Silver and use the co-ordinating Framelit to cut out the image.
Using the smallest snowflake and Versamark stamp onto Whisper white, apply Heat & Stick Powder to image, heat set, then add Dazzling Diamonds (I usually take a soft makeup brush at this point and gently dust over the image to remove excess) and then heat set again.      Since Dazzling Diamonds (or other glitter product) is not an embossing powder you need a product like Heat & Stick to act as a glue for the glitter).
Use Pool Party to stamp the Sentiment onto Whisper White.   You can cut this out by hand (forking the edges) or use the Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267).
Take your ribbon and fold in half.   Lay it over the largest snowflake and tape it (with just regular scotch tape) onto the largest snowflake.
Add dimensionals to the back of the snowflakes and layer them one on top of another.
Add dimensionals to the sentiment and add it to the top of the snowflake (over the smallest snowflake).
If you want a Tag or Ornament – leave enough of the ribbon on the top so it can hang.      As I was adding it to a card I only wanted a tail on the bottom.

Making the Card:

Make your card base in Pool Party in the standard card size
Using Whisper White run a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of cardstock through the Big Shot using the Pretty Print Embossing Folder
Using the Smooch Spritz Vanilla Shimmer spray over the Pretty Print layer.
Add layer to the card
Add the Snowflake to the top of the card.
