Time for a confession….. I watch this video almost every day….. and I cry!. (video is at the end of the post).
When we were in Orlando for OnStage, all Incentive Trip Achievers for the 2019 cruise to the Greek Isles were called to the stage to take their recognition walk. While we were back stage lining up, Stampin’ Up! was playing the 2018 Incentive Trip Highlights for the cruise to Alaska so I didn’t get to see the video until I came home. The magnitude of this achievement and earning the trip for 2019 to the Greek Isles is sometimes overwhelming. When I watch the highlights for the 2018 trip, I still can’t believe I did it…. with all of your help. I will admit it was a lot of hard work and it took me the full year to earn the trip, but when people say…. “If I did it, you can too”…… YOU CAN! You have to set the goal and work it.
I have to share the Recognition Walk Picture… it pretty much sums up the excitement…… This is Mary, Me, Susan, Shauna and Tamara… a bunch of Canadian Demonstrators.
It isn’t just earning the 2019 Incentive Trip to the Greek Isles that is exciting, it is the planning and anticipation at well. People are surprised when I tell them it is a trip for two, all expenses paid, including airfare. One of my girlfriends is coming with me and we have decided to fly early into Rome to see the sights. The airfare has been booked with the tour operator Stampin’ Up! uses and we have booked a hotel in the centre of Rome for some exploring before we head to the Stampin’ Up! hotel the night before the cruise. From what I am hearing from other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators, there are a lot of them doing the same thing. One of my Stampin’ friends, Mary, is actually on the same flight as us….turns out sitting in the same row!. Towards the end of March we will receive our cabin assignment… and all Trip Achievers will receive a Balcony cabin on the cruise ship. Wow.
Here are some numbers …. there are approx 53,000 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators worldwide. I believe the number of Incentive Trip Achievers for 2019 is 445. Of those, 42 were from Canada…. and I am one of them. Now you can understand why I am sometimes overwhelmed with the idea and achievement.
If you don’t get tired of it, I will be posting more about the trip, the planning, anticipation, excitement, thoughts, etc over the coming months… all leading up to the grand vacation. Can you tell I am excited…. and it is only January.
Without further ado…. here is the 2018 Incentive Trip Highlights to the Alaska Cruise. I didn’t earn that trip, but if fuels the anticipation.
